Years ago, we
used to get by implementing communications systems by simply
racking and stacking equipment and fiddling around till it
works. Today's systems, however, require a much deeper engineering
effort in order to make a mission critical system out of
software and parts borrowed from other industries. This working
group will examine methods from other industries and best
practices to achieve a mission critical system before it
is built and methods to ensure it gets built as designed.
